The 2015 season is right around the corner.
It’s been a great 2014 charter season, with a lot of interesting fishing over the last 6mos. We officially ‘de-rigged’ ‘Nicole Lynn’ in preparation for her winter storage. ‘Alexis Janelle’ is testing the waters this morning since we have this nice weather again – we either have nice fall days or a total miserable weather days….just the time the of year.
Looking towards the 2015 season, with trips on the books already – it is never too early to lock in your fishing date & accommodations (if needed). Call/message/e-mail. Thanks, Capt. Tom
I can’t believe we are moving into July…already!! We’ve had a very interesting season, in fact with the cooler waters hanging around, it has put it quite above-average, especially with Coho Salmon still in the catch and some very nice King Salmon now. We still have Rainbow, Brown & Lake Trout in the catch as well. Overall, the catches have been up with limit trips still happening. Enjoy the video (link) below, shot by a customer (on a foggy day).
After this past winter, we all sure deserve the nice weather and most importantly – The Great Fishing!! Our season kicked off around Easter and the bite happened right from the start. Coho Salmon were dominating the catch, then came the Rainbow Trout (Steelhead) and now King Salmon are mixed in. You cannot beat the fishing – there is so much present bait; these fish are eating and growing ever so fast.
We have seen Coho as large as 11# and Bows as large as 15#….something very impressive for this time of year….and then the Kings, high teens, low 20’s!! I cannot believe we are nearly through the month of May and just around corner…June!!
Dates are sure going fast – if you want to get in on the action – send us an e-mail, use the request form on the site, or give us a call. With three boats, we will do everything we can to get you out with us. Be sure to follow our reports here and also get frequent updates via our Facebook business page. Good Fishing! Capt. Tom

Welcome to March! We made it to ‘meteorological spring’! It has been a cold/snowy, yet busy off-season, luckily the boats stay inside – in a balmy 68deg. each winter.
Our focus is on final preparations to ‘splash’ the boats in under 6 weeks (we hope………the water is quite hard at the moment).
If all goes as planned, we’ll chase some Brown Trout first, in mid to late April….eventually moving into those excellent tasting Coho Salmon where limits are hit day in/day out.
You don’t want to miss this time. There are options left in May, although the mornings fill fast, afternoons are just as action packed.
Get in touch today, you don’t want to wait!
Think Spring…Think warmth!
There’s plenty of ice fishing going on around the area with Brown Trout & Rainbow Trout being taken through the ice both in Southport Marina & Simmons Island Marina – Kenosha, WI. There are also Browns & Rainbows coming through the ice on the Root River & Reefpoint Marina in Racine, WI. Per the last DNR report, anglers are reporting 10-12 or more inches of ice in many locations. Brown trout in the 3 to 4 pound range including Rainbows have been caught on jigging spoons, tube jigs, and minnows. Talking with a few anglers Saturday morning, spawn sacks have been a ‘go to’ bait as well. Salmon Unlimited-Wisconsin is holding their annual Ice Fishing Derby at Reefpoint Marina on Saturday, February 1st, starting at 6:45am. Just think, in three months, the boats will be in the water, ready to take on the 2014 season!!
Wishing each and everyone a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! Watch for our latest postings both here and on our Facebook page. Looking forward to the 2014 season!!
We had a great time with each and every one of you this season and looking forward to seeing you again in 2014!! Watch the site and the Facebook page for news and updates over the ‘off-season’.
